1. 1. This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in the ADB Business Opportunities on 19 April, 2006.
2. 2. The People’s Republic of China has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Guangxi Nanning Urban Environmental Upgrading Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the ICB contract for Procurement of Goods for Pump Station Equipments(Contract No. B-2a1).
3. 3. The Instrimpex International Tendering Company (the Procurement Agent-CNIITC), authorized by Nanning Xiangsihu New Area Investment Construction & Development Co., Ltd(the purchaser) to act on its behalf, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of equipment for the pump stations (including one water station and two sewage stations). For the equipments of water station, the delivery/completion period is 4 months after the execution of contract, and for the equipments of the two sewage stations, the delivery/completion period is 6 months after the execution of contract.
4. 4. This International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.
5. 5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Instrimpex International Tendering Company at the address listed below.
6. 6. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by any interested bidders between 9:00 am—11:00 am and 14:30 pm—16:00 pm (Beijing Time) starting on June 25, 2010 from Instrimpex International Tendering Company and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of RMB1,800 or equivalent USD264. If mail service is required, an extra fee of RMB 100 or equivalent USD20 should be added. CNIITC will promotly dispatch the documents by registered airmail. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
7. 7. Bids must be delivered to the Procurement Agent’s address below at or before 10:00 am (Beijing time) on August 5, 2010. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security not less than 2% of the bid price. The Bid Security shall be paid to Instrimpex International Tendering Company. Late Bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened and announced in the presence of the Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend.
8. 8. The Purchaser and the Procurement Agent will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.
